The Button Brigade completed its JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA) on Jan 23, 2025 and received a perfect score of 100%, the first ever perfect score in the state of Texas.

The JPA included a uniform inspection of all cadets, two presentations, marching, color guard performance, and review of select cadets' learning profiles at all grade levels. The Button Brigade will maintain its Honor Unit with Distinction designation for another three years. Thank you to the CCHS Faculty and Staff and Parents who supported the Corps of Cadets leading up to and during the JPA. We could not have done it without you and you are appreciated!

9th - 11th Grade Parents: Please check your email and Blackbaud account to view the 2025-2026 Re-Enrollment Agreement.

Re-enroll by January 31st to:
1) Receive a $50 Tuition Credit for your Blackbaud Payment Plan Fee
2) Be entered into a $1,000 Tuition Credit drawing for 25-26
3) Enable your student to register for his 2025-2026 courses in early spring.

The first Saturday School of the Spring semester will be held on February 1st from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

We will have teachers from the Math, Science and English Departments here on campus to provide extra help if you need it. No registration is required.

Memebrs of House Cowie completred their service project this weekend. Joining in to help clean up a section of Salado Creek were some members of the Guardian Angels and the Environmental Club. Working as one Brotherhood, the boys pulled truckloads of trash, shopping carts and furniture that would otherwise clog up the creek and affect the flow of water.

The Guardian Angels will be helping Thomas Murray '27 put together his own 5k to raise money for his Eagle Scout project. The 5k will be taking place on Feb. 23. please CLICK HERE to sign up.

Congratulations to Francisco Garcia '21 for being one of this year's St. Mary's University Marianist Student Leadership Award Recipients. Francisco is majoring in Biology and Mathematics. An amazing example of living out the values of our Marianist Education in daily life.

Yesterday, the varsity swim team competed in the TAPPS Regional Swim meet where they finished fourth in their Region. Congratulations to Michael Gutierrez '27 for qualifying for State in the 100 Free along with three of our relay teams.

We are proud of what our swim team has accomplished up to this point and are excited to seem them compete in the State Meet on Febuary 11 at the Josh Davis Natatorium here in San Antonio. 

This past weekend the Varsity Bowling team participated in the Astro High School Team Challenge. Out of 27 teams, the Buttons found themselves competing in the Elite 8 and finished 3rd overall in the tournament. 

Congratualtions to Mario Munoz '25, Aiden Alonzo '26 , Zayd Flores '28, Jackson Rolla '26, and Jon Saucedo '26.

The Central Catholic Cheerleaders received the highest showmanship/performance score of the day in their 18 team division but fell 7 hundredths of a point and placed 2nd in this year's NCA Cheerleading Championships.  

Congratulations to the young women on all they have accomplished this season.
